We specialise in offering natural turquoise. Turquoise gets its colour from the heavy metals in the ground where it comes from - blue turquoise forms when copper is present (Mexico or Arizona) - green turquoise when iron is present (Nevada mines or Chinese turquoise). The new "Boulder Turquoise" comes from an open cut mine in northeast Nevada and is distinguished by narrow veinlets of turquoise in the mother rock.

Our next most popular range is the opals which are laboratory grown and mirror the structure, appearance and true colour of the natural opal, but are heat and chip resistant. Bamboo coral is always a big summer offering - this grows prolifically in the South seas and is dyed the brilliant red, but at least keeps the coral reefs protected and allows for some stylish, chunky pieces. Glass and Swarovski Crystal designs mixed with assorted gemstones have also become a mainstay in the range recently, particularly in long beaded style necklaces.

 

Brave's look for 2010 centres on The Riverside with turquoise designs modelled on river rocks and pebbles in vibrant, blue or the soft greens of the riverbank.
 
Liquid silver is long and cascading strands are interspersed with watery, blue beads or sparkling swarovski crystals shimmering like the sun on the river's surface.

Flitting through the air are irridescent butterflies, dragonflies, hummingbirds and bees.

Feathers feature strongly from the birds that feed by the shore and if you look carefully in the range you might even find the frog prince.
